Overview

Off the shelf (OTS)

This module looks at the specific statutory bases upon which financial advice and financial activities can be undertaken by solicitors and the possible criminal sanctions arising from such financial activity, together with issues which might arise under the SRA standards and regulations and the money laundering regime.

This module is a 3-day course and includes a 1 hour 30 minute written assessment following the conclusion of the second day. Please note that the assessment is undertaken in accordance with the PSC assessment regulations.

Following the assessment which will take place at the start of the third day, participants will conclude the course by developing an appreciation of the relevance of financial interpretation to solicitors and gain an overview of the regulation of accounts.
