-
Ensure that risks, issues and dependencies are correctly monitored and managed, giving your projects a far greater chance of succeeding
Overview
Cross Civil Service
Risks are a fact of life. They can never be completely avoided; only managed and mitigated. Without accepting some element of risk, we would never get anything done. Within a project environment, the challenge lies in understanding where the biggest risks lie and then mitigating the causes of those risks.
This course introduces you to the fundamentals of project risk management. You’ll learn about risks and issues, as well as assumptions and dependencies (both of which have the potential to become risks). You’ll find out how all of these are identified, assessed and managed. You’ll also explore risk appetite and tolerance and how to respond when a risk materialises and becomes an issue.
